At its June 2017 meeting, Borough Council approved a land development plan submitted by County Builders for the former Knoell property (at the intersection of Butler Ave and Shady Retreat Road).
The project will entail 117 apartments (a mixture of one and two bedroom) and commercial space (tenants to be determined). The developer will be bringing public water to the area, a traffic signal to the intersection, and streetscape improvements as part of the project.
This plan was approved after various versions were reviewed at more than a dozen public meetings, including the Steering Committee, Planning Commission and Borough Council. Please click the link below to view the Council Meeting where final approval was discussed:
According to the developer at the public meeting, construction will either begin Summer 2017 or Spring 2018, and should take 18-24 months to complete.
