The Zoning Hearing Board meets at Burkart Hall, 56 Keeley Avenue, on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 7:30 PM on an as needed basis. The Board is a judicial body composed of five voting members and two alternates. There is also a Zoning Hearing Board Solicitor, Christen Pionzio. Board members are appointed by Borough Council. Its hearings are open to the public and the proceedings are similar to any judicial court.

The board may uphold the Zoning Officer’s decision or may allow a variance or special exception regarding the case in question. A fee is required from the applicant to request such a hearing. Adjoining property owners are formally notified of the hearing and all Borough residents are welcome to attend and express their thoughts.
