A grant funded project to construct bike trail along S. Tamenend Ave will begin this summer.
The first section will be from Butler Ave to the New Britain SEPTA Train Station and will include pedestrian safety improvements at the intersection of Tamenend and Butler.
Work on this section will begin this summer, with Polaris Construction being awarded the project. The project contract requires completion of the trail section by October.
The Borough is working in partnership with Doylestown Township to continue the trail to the existing path at the Beulah Cemetary at the corner of Almshouse and Upper State Road, which will likely be completed by Summer 2018.
