Due to the winter storm, Mayor David Holewinski has declared that effective immediately, a Snow Emergency will be in effect in New Britain Borough until 11:59pm tonight (February 20th).
Parking will not be permitted on designated Snow Emergency Routes, and these roads are also restricted to vehicles with four wheel drive or snow chains.
On the non-snow emergency routes residents are asked to voluntarily remove cars from the streets when possible to facilitate more effective road and parking lane clearing.
The Borough office will close at 2PM today.
